A Day Without Electricity

One of those rotten days without electricity.  One of those hot, steaming days, and there is no electricity!  I’m guessing you want to try out your brand new air conditioner.  I really wouldn’t because air conditioners involve electricity.  Okay, you might be thinking, well, can’t I still take a relaxing ice cold shower, right?  Well, certainly NOT!  Shower pumps use electricity to get through our pipes underground.  So for most people, this hot, hot, hot day wouldn’t be fun.

So you’re probably thinking about missing the coldness.  Well, that is probably going to change pretty soon.  A cold winter day, and the power went out, and with that the heater does not provide heat right now.  So you go upstairs to get in the warmest bath.  Well, don’t try because like I said, the water pumps need electricity.  So don’t try.  You’re getting tired, and you want to take a nice, cozy nap.  Well, you just found out that your electric blanket is . . . . electric.

Okay, you might be dreaming of rain.  Now what if the power went out then?  So you want to watch t.v. right now, but it doesn’t work.

So go out into the real world. Sure, electricity is cool, but we shouldn’t be too attached to it.  Play a board game or color a picture.  Don’t waste your time spending your mind on electricity all that time, and that is why I’m writing this book.  Thank you.
